The right meeting room depends on more than just the number of chairs. A two-person interview needs privacy and focus, while a room for 200 must handle sightlines, sound and movement without forcing the organiser to manage the space all day.

We have selected highly rated London rooms from the Tagvenue listings and grouped them by their largest recorded seated capacity. Each capacity band helps you compare rooms that suit your headcount — from compact one-to-ones through to speaker-led conferences.

How to choose by headcount

Use the seated figure as your starting point, then check whether the room’s layout matches the way your meeting will actually run.

  • For two to six people, prioritise privacy and a table everyone can comfortably reach rather than unused floor area.
  • For medium and large groups, check that the screen, whiteboard and presenter position remain visible from every seat.
  • For training days, look for writing tablets, movable furniture or a partition if the agenda changes between briefing and group work.
  • For XXL rooms, confirm sightlines, PA support, presentation equipment and how attendees will move in and out before booking.
