About this space

Outdoor Area — Private outdoor space in Hains & Co. The space is a sheltered, semi-covered courtyard terrace adjoining the bar and organised around outdoor cocktail service.

Design: The Outdoor Area pairs polished timber and dark metal finishes with leafy planters and exposed masonry. Low, warm pendant lighting and a narrow, linear layout create an intimate, evening-focused setting.

Features: The outdoor terrace adjoins the main bar and includes a staffed counter for drink service, bench seating and standing areas with clear sightlines to the bar. The space receives natural daylight and has a step-free, wheelchair-accessible entrance.

Ideal for: Small groups of friends or colleagues seeking relaxed, social standing receptions or informal seated drinks around a bar-centred outdoor terrace.

What sets it apart: A built-in PA and a permissive music policy that allow hosts to play their own playlists or bring a DJ.

What guests say: The outdoor area has a laid-back, inclusive atmosphere and attentive cocktail service. The space is also associated with a strong whiskey and cigar offering.
