Named in honour of local legend Vesta Tilley – a trailblazing, gender-defying music hall star who once performed to packed houses across the road at the historic Royal Cambridge – our private dining room is full of character and charm.
Just a 2-minute walk from Shoreditch High Street and 10 minutes from Liverpool Street, Old Street, and Aldgate stations, the Vesta Tilley Room is perfectly located for hosting private events.
With a flexible layout, featuring wrap-around leather banquette seating and a generous central space, Vesta Tilley is ideal for groups of 35 to 55 guests. This is the ideal space for hosting important client dinners, treating your whole team to a well-earned lunch or for celebrating life’s milestones with your nearest and dearest. Boasting the most beloved elements of Hawksmoor, the warmest hospitality and service, delicious food and award-winning cocktails – this is the perfect place for a truly unforgettable meal.
For an extra special experience, guests also have the option of hiring our atmospheric Spitalfields Bar, located beneath the restaurant. The two spaces can be booked together for drinks before or after your meal, creating a seamless and memorable event from start to finish.

About Hawksmoor Spitalfields
Hawksmoor was inspired by childhood memories of how good steak could taste. Founders Will Beckett and Huw Gott (friends since they were 11) opened the first Hawksmoor restaurant on Commercial Street in 2006; more restaurants in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and
New York followed.
Our menus revolve around using the best ingredients we can find and cooking them as simply as possible – whether it be beef from grass-fed native breed cattle, sustainable seafood from around the local coast, seasonal fruits and vegetables or great British cheeses, combined with great wines and interesting cocktails all served by people who love what they do.

The Vesta Tilley Room is ideal for private hire for groups of up to 55. The space is perfect for team lunches, private dinners and other celebrations.
Spitalfields Bar - twice crowned the world’s best restaurant cocktail bar, Spitalfields Bar is a space with stories to tell. Hawksmoor’s original late-night venue embodies the attitude and character that makes Hawksmoor so unique. Situated below our Hawksmoor Spitalfields restaurant, Spitalfields Bar takes the very best of Hawksmoor – the cocktails, the food, the hospitality, and the décor – to create an memorable events and gatherings up to 70 guests.
