About this space
The cafe is the hub of our building. Available to rent for weddings, functions, launch parties and much more. We can offer catering and are happy to work on a price-per-head basis or minimum spend on the bar.
You can combine several spaces together to create your perfect event setup across this beautiful and unique venue. We can offer catering for anyone coming in to use the space.

The space is yours during the allotted and pre-booked times only.
You must remove all of your property from the premises at the end of your booking. Any property not removed will be disposed of with any costs passed on to you.
You must not use other spaces outside of your booked space, otherwise you may be charged additionally for those spaces used.
You must provide adequate staff to set up and clear all the things you need for your booking, and leave the room as you found it at the end of your booking.
You must allow access at all times to Applecart staff and any other relevant officials.
The Passmore Edwards Building is Grade II listed, and therefore we must show respect to the building at all times. You must not affix anything to the walls, ceiling, floor or windows with any adhesives, screws or nails. Any damage caused to the building may incur serious fines to you, and this will be at the discretion of Applecart Arts.
You may not use any equipment in the space without Applecart's express written permission. If we discover equipment has been used with or without permission, we reserve the right to charge you for use of that equipment and any repairs, replacements or technician time in returning it to its original setup.
Any equipment brought in must have a valid PAT test sticker and certificate.
You must comply with all of Applecart Arts' Health & Safety Policies, House Rules and any relevant rules in the Technical Specifications, which are available on request.

About Applecart Arts
Applecart Arts in East London boasts four beautiful spaces suitable for any event.
Our Theatre space is perfect for conferences, film and theatre showings, book launches, film shoots and work-in-progress readings - boasting natural light from South-West facing windows or total blackout with thick theatrical curtains.
Our Studio space offers a light and airy space with a large south-facing window to offer lots of natural light; varnished wooden floors and deep blue walls, including an original fireplace and wall lamps.
The exhibition space offers white walls and a grey floor, with lots of natural light from an overhead skylight. Our cafe is light and airy, with large windows on two aspects, green walls and varnished wooden floors.
Opened in 1899, Passmore Edwards is a beautiful former library and registry office that was just waiting for a new lease of life – enter Applecart Arts!
Over the last year, Applecart has beautifully restored this Victorian building to bring it a new lease of life. Building a cafe, exhibition space, studio and theatre space downstairs in the building, and creating offices and artist studios on the first floor for local artists.
