About this space

Our exclusive and special Back Lounge is ideal for events for up to 50 people. Your experience starts once you go through the wardrobe doors and have exclusive use of this beautifully decorated room throughout the night.
Apart from our carefully created unique cocktails, we can arrange drinks receptions, drinks pre-orders and a customised Menu created only for your event, to make it even more special.
The room is equipped with a sound system, where you can bring your own DJ, play your own music, a dedicated member of staff to keep our award-winning cocktails flowing during your event alongside a special Food Menu, only available for private hires. We can cater for any dietary requirements.

Host rules

We are very flexible and will try to accommodate all your requirements within reason.

In the event of cancellation by the client, the company reserves the right to charge the following cancellation fees:

1.1. If cancellation is effected three calendar weeks or less prior to the event, the 30% deposit payment will be due.

1.2. If cancellation is effected two calendar weeks or less prior to the event, the full minimum spend will be due. If booking falls between November 20th and December 20th, cancelation notice is 6 weeks.

1.3. In addition, any fees charged to the company in respect of bookings made on the client’s behalf in connection with the Event will be payable in full by the client.

The staff were amazing, helpful and just so kind! The venue really took the time to answer all questions and ensure the party goes off without a hitch. Would definitely recommend this venue to anyone and with such reasonable price...definitely a steal! Food was equally amazing!!

Great Venue and ambiance Lovely Cocktails

Only 1 server for 40 guests. She worked so hard, but it caused a backlog of drink orders and thirsty guests

Hired the room for a 50th birthday party. Perfect size and location. Hostess was amazing, drinks were ordered and arrived prompty. Liese was brilliant helping with arrangements. Drinks and food were great. All guest loved it!

About Callooh Callay Shoreditch

Callooh Callay opened in November 2008. At the time, cocktail bars in Shoreditch were few and far between. A venue which delivers high quality drinks and service, but without any of the pretension that came along with those things in 2008. We wanted to do things a little differently with our design and with our menus, for which we have become pretty famous.

In the last 12 years we've been very lucky to have made drinks for, and served, hundreds of thousands of guests. We've been even luckier to win an award or 2 from our peers along the way. We were named Best International High Volume Cocktail Bar at Tales of the Cocktail 2016, Worlds Best Cocktail Menu in 2012 and have been named in Drinks International's World's 50 Best Bars in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016.
