About this space

Our CoLab is the most dynamic space at The Melting Pot and it is perfect for training workshops, presentations and team away days. The room can be set up in multiple ways, including cabaret, boardroom and empty space. The room hire includes use of a projector, screen, whiteboard, flipchart, wall space and access to breakout areas outside the room.

- Boardroom layout - 1 table with chairs (capacity 16)
- Cabaret layout - multiple tables with chairs (capacity 20)
- Theatre layout - rows of chairs (capacity 25)
- Empty space - no tables or chairs (capacity 25)

Please note that this room is located in the basement level which is only accessible by stairs.

Single serving tea and coffee is included for all attendees on arrival. Additional catering options can be added, including biscuits, cakes, sandwiches, soup and more. Please get in touch to arrange.

Our half-day and full-day rates are more cost-effective than the hourly rate. We also offer a 20% discount on Mondays and Fridays, as well as a 10% discount for registered Scottish charities. If a booking is beyond your budget, please get in touch - we’ll do our best to accommodate you!

We had an event and booked meeting rooms. Besides that there are several desks and lots of space for individual work if you need to step out. Location is great, staff is very friendly and quick to respond and accommodate various requests.
The CoLab room itself is downstairs with no windows and with a big group it gets quite stuffy. Although there were fans in the room it wasn't quite sufficient and we had to keep the door open to get air.

I had booked for 20 and room was only set for 14. Different styles were offered on arrival to accommodate 20 but too late as everyone had arrived. Didnt have our booking noted down on arrival causing confusion to attendees that arrived prior to me. Although they had said room to break out we didnt find there was space to do so. There was a few comments from Solo workers using the premises that we were too loud when using the shared space. Shame as we were looking for a venue to use monthly however i dont feel this is suitable to large groups. thank you
