About Clayfield Homestead
Clayfield Homestead offers a truly unique opportunity to escape the craziness of every-day life.
Our two-storey historic homestead showcases unique original features throughout, including locally-quarried sandstone, hardwood timber floors and staircase, attic bedrooms, intricate locks and stately doors opening to lush lawns, historic trees and gorgeous gardens.
Clayfield Homestead is a seasonal delight – admire beautiful blossom and spectacular sunsets in Spring, be awed by snow-capped mountains in Winter, pick fresh fruit from the orchard in Autumn and indulge in world-class local wine and food on the veranda during Summer. And don’t be surprised if a baby lamb or new-born calf from the working farm pokes their nose through the fence to say hello!
Clayfield Homestead is part of an 840-hectare working sheep, cattle and cropping farm owned by the Cresswell family.
Malcolm and Angela, and their children Max, Cleo and Ella, have a deep passion for Tasmania and take great delight in opening up their property for you to explore, experience, energise and enjoy.
