About The King of Tonga

Welcome to the best hidden bar in Elwood! The King of Tonga, a cozy, cool and friendly bayside bar for all. A multi faceted and multi roomed slice of Pacific heaven.

Whatever you need we have it here at the KOT. From the seating on our wooden front deck, which connects to the front bar, a blend of American-style tiki dive bar, walls covered in Polynesian, Asian and African tales and images. Sit, take in and ponder the moody atmosphere while sipping Craft beer and chewing squid jerky.

Then wander through the Blue room taking in our quirky library and artifacts, with the breeze filtering down from our louvered roof. Then journey further into the Tonga Room, our grand lounge, the venue for bespoke weddings, birthdays and parties. Lounge around with a cocktail in hand in front of our fireplace or sit back and relax in our green and lush courtyard.

If you're feeling peckish you can order something from our tapas menu, or keep it simple with classic beer and pizza. Serving tap beers, cocktails, vino and all your favourite mixers 7 days a week. Book us for your next function in the Tonga Room.
