Up here we have the cherry on top - Our freshly built Rooftop Bar, looking over the bay with Melbourne’s city skyline on the horizon.

Enjoy a drink from the rooftop bar with the summer breeze in your hair, or even in winter with complete protection from the elements and a cosy heater.

We also have lift access to all levels, rooftop included.

Host rules

Damage done to the space will result in extra charge.

A 20% deposit is required within 7 days of written/verbal confirmation of
booking to secure function space.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the booking will forfeit their deposit.

You are permitted to bring flowers, balloons, banners, and lighting, to your
function. Please note, no confetti or decorations that cannot be taken with you
are permitted in the venue. You may, if organised with events manager, enter the
venue an hour prior to your event to set up your decorations. You are required to
collect any decorations and equipment the following day and no later.

We do not take responsibility for any lost or damaged goods left in the venue,
before, during, or after the booking. This includes equipment, merchandise, and
any personal items.

You and your guests are required to vacate the space within half an hour of
your designated time slot. You will be charged additional fees upon failing
to do so.

All dietary requirements must be disclosed and confirmed with our events
manager no less than 7 days before booking. Any food related costs
incurred for late changes will be charged accordingly.


Hobsons Bay Hotel has been a part of Williamstown since the beginning of the last century. After a brief vacation, the former title has been restored, and with it so much more has been brought to the table.

Today, HBH is a destination in the West for unforgettable dining and drinking experiences filled with exciting cocktails, wine, beer and a gossip-worthy menu.

Steering the ship is Rustica Sourdough’s Brenton Lang, along with Matt Cook & Drew Gibbs. Executive Chef Ben Pigott oversees the food, using his extensive experience at Cumulus Inc, Supernormal, Stokehouse and Fatto. Pigott applies his knowledge and creativity to create a dedicated menu of comforting pub classics taken in a delightful new direction.
