Host your event at Summer in the Square, running from 8–13 July 2025 in Portman Square Gardens - normally closed to the public and open exclusively for this week-long festival. The booking includes a tent fully set up with seating, lighting, bunting, and shelter to protect from the weather. You'll also have signage, a roped entry, an event manager on site, security personnel, and a PA system with playlists controlled to meet local noise rules.
Located in a central London garden, this setup offers a convenient and affordable option. Guests can take part in festival activities until 8 pm. All proceeds support the event and help maintain Portman Square Gardens for public use.
Prices
INCLUDED IN HIRE FEE:
Stretch Tent, including seating and décor. The stretch tent will provide shade and shelter to cover all eventualities of British Summer weather. It will be decorated with lights and bunting.
Signage, alongside rope and posts, will be placed at the entrance to stretch tent so attendees are aware of designated area
Designated event manager in lead up to event and on the night
Designated security
PA System and iPad with playlists available*
*please note volume levels will be monitored by our team to ensure no interference with the event and adherence to Portman Square regulations).
FOOD & DRINK PACKAGES
Make your event seamless with our all inclusive catering packages, designed to keep your guests well fed and refreshed throughout the evening. Both packages include a main meal from our on site street food vendors, a selection of nibbles, and drinks served from your own private bar within the stretch tent.
Each package also includes branded elements to personalise your event, including wristbands with your logo, food vouchers and signage at the entrance to your space.

PREMIUM – £55 + VAT per person
One main meal per person from an on site street food vendor
A selection of nibbles to share, including olives, nuts, vegetable crisps and cheese straws
Premium drinks allocation:
– Half a bottle of premium wine, or
– 4 x beers, or
– 4 x premium soft drinks, or
– 2 x Pimms or Gin and Tonics
Drinks served from your private bar within the stretch tent
Branded wristbands, food vouchers and signage included

No smoking within the event space or anywhere in Portman Square Gardens
No outside catering or external food and drink permitted
No unauthorised amplified music or personal sound systems
No open flames, barbecues or candles
No pets, with the exception of assistance animals
No unauthorised signage or promotional material outside of your designated area
All guests must vacate the event space by 9pm
Rubbish must be disposed of in designated bins provided
Respect the gardens and leave the space as you found it
Cancellation policy: Standard 60 day

Private hires include a roped-off marquee within the main event space, offering a dedicated area for birthdays, anniversaries, summer socials, or corporate gatherings - all while enjoying the energy of the festival around you.
Food and drink packages start at £50 per person, with a range of catering options available. Guests are free to explore festival activities running daily until 8 pm, adding even more to the experience. All private hire revenue helps fund the event, keeping Summer in the Square free and open to the Marylebone community.
