he Sunken Garden is an open-air venue located beneath Senate House in Bloomsbury, WC1. The space is surrounded by tall trees, with string lighting and natural shade creating a relaxed atmosphere. A large white marquee with open sides sits at the back, housing a bar. In front of it, there are several wooden picnic benches set on a woodchip-covered area.
Next to the seating area is a raised wooden deck with a curved bar, decorated with plant illustrations, and a tall table. The venue includes both covered and uncovered sections, offering flexibility for different weather conditions.
The Sunken Garden hosts live acoustic music and serves drinks from a central bar. Food is provided by KERB’s traders, offering a selection of three global cuisines. An indoor bar area also features a resident DJ. The venue is equipped with a wet weather plan to make sure events can continue regardless of the forecast.
Powered by Ultimate, the space is used for summer parties, private celebrations, and corporate events.
