The venue and facilities are really good and met our expectations. It’s a popular bar with a good atmosphere and the area we were allocated was perfect for the number of people we had attending (35). We were able to put money behind the bar for our guests which the bar staff managed effectively. The area for our event had its own side of the bar which worked well. I would add, however, that it did take quite a long time to get served as staff seemed to inadvertently prioritise the front bar facing the main venue. I think having a member of staff dedicated to serving the event space bar would have been better. We ordered three trays of canapés and these were delicious. Value for money could be improved slightly here as £210 seemed steep for the amount of food received. Overall a great evening and would use the venue again, just some minor improvements that would make it a 5* rating instead of 4*.
Bar staff inadvertently prioritising serving the main bar instead of our side. Having a dedicated server for the event space bar side would have been beneficial. Canapés were delicious but I think slightly overpriced for the amount received.
