The Lounge at Rothamsted Manor
About this space
The Lounge previously referred to as the Dining Room, is part of the Bardolph extensions. It was originally two rooms and the dividing wall, along the line of the molded ceiling beam, may have been removed by Sir John Wittewronge. He also paneled the room, again covering some extensive, rarely seen murals on the east wall from the time of the Bardolph's. These murals are on show to the public once a year during Heritage Weekend.
The Lounge is perfect for a range of events, from private dining, to afternoon tea, and can be set up in boardroom style for up to 20 people. It is also perfect for a wedding party to use as their dancefloor room, or even a 'quiet' space for guests wishing to rest during the wedding day celebrations!
