The Great Drawing Room at Rothamsted Manor
About this space
This room was added to the Manor by Sir John Lawes in 1863 to provide a space for his son Charles' coming-of-age ball in 1864.
Featuring beautiful stained glass family crests in the windows, an impressive fireplace dating from the early 1900s, and original portraits of the Wittewronge family dating back to the 1500s, the Great Drawing Room is the largest space in the Manor.
With a capacity of 100 for a standing buffet or drinks reception, and around 80 for a seated dinner, afternoon tea, or wedding breakfast, it is a very versatile space that will be perfect for a range of events.
