This stunning room is one of the highlights of the Manor, with its beautiful gilded leather wall coverings and marquetry flooring.
One of the smallest rooms available for events, the Spanish Leather Room has a capacity of 10 for seated dinners and is ideal for a more intimate afternoon tea or wedding breakfast. It can also be used as a room to meet with the Registrar before your wedding ceremony.

Our Heritage:
Rothamsted Manor, established in 1623, is an impressive Grade I listed Manor house set in 12 acres of beautiful gardens and stunning woodland in rural Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
John Bennet Lawes, the founder of Rothamsted Experimental Station, now Rothamsted Research, was born in this house on 28th December 1814. His ancestors, however, the Wittewronges, built the original Manor in the 1600s. There is actually a record of a settlement on this site dating back as far as the 13th Century.
The Manor is filled with impressive features including historic fireplaces, beautiful portraits, and lovely Spanish Leather wall coverings, many of which have remained largely untouched since the 1600s. It is bound to impress guests and provide plenty of inspiration for any events you choose to hold with us.
