Hidden away from the busy streets above, our samphire and tobacco-toned basement bar provides an interior of modern elegance whilst still embracing the unique character of its former life as bank, through the impressive barrel-vaulted metallic ceiling.

Available for exclusive hire seven days a week, the area is ideal for engagement, office and all kinds of parties for up to 120 people. The fully stocked bar provides a vast variety of beverages to cater for all, including a number of locally sourced lagers, a carefully selected wine list and fresh, made to order cocktails.

Welcome to Walkers of Whitehall, Westminster’s newest all day eatery. Providing a vibrant and fresh social hub, our venue blends the old and new seamlessly.

Like many buildings of its kind in London, Walkers of Whitehall didn’t start its life as a licensed site. Built in 1694, it was originally an Irish bank with cashiers upstairs and offices and vaults below. It has taken on several transformations since then.

Walkers of Whitehall retains its character by integrating the original vaulted basement ceilings from its former life as a bank, tying them together into a modern offering of elegant banquette seating, open theatre-style kitchen and stunning lighting and décor.

The Robata Grill influences our menu, and offers succulent meat that is cooked over English Oak with an open flame. The word ‘robata’ directly translates into fireside cooking, which is perfect for Walkers of Whitehall and the menu is inspired by this style.
