About this space

To call The Royal Exchange ‘iconic’ would be putting it lightly. First built in 1566, the celebrated centre of trade has burned down twice over the course its history, and was last rebuilt in its original Roman style and reopened by Queen Victoria in 1844.

Since opening The Bar & Restaurant at The Royal Exchange in November 2018, we are now within the facility of one of the most unique and best-kept-secret event locations in London.

From breakfasts, lunches and afternoon tea’s, through to dinners, extravagant cocktail receptions & Wedding receptions - the Fortnum’s experience is now on hand in the City and as it was recently voted the ‘most Instagrammable Restaurant in London’ by the Evening Standard, it’s a guaranteed experience your guests won’t forget.

The Royal Exchange is an iconic, beautiful building in the heart of The City of London, with Fortnum’s Bar and Restaurant situated in the stunning courtyard. Available to hire on a Saturday or Sunday this spectacular space can accommodate 100-150 guests for a sit-down meal and dancing, or up to 400 guests for a standing reception.

You will dine and dance under the magnificent glass roof, which allows light to flood in. Having been welcomed through the grand entrance to enjoy drinks and canapes, you will then move to the opposite side of our signature bar for your Wedding Meal (your ‘Wedding Breakfast’). Celebrations can continue until midnight (or 1am for an additional fee). Please note that the bar will close half an hour before the end time.
Wedding Package (minimum 100 guests)
£238 per person
Our venue hire rate is currently £18,000 including VAT.
For an evening drinks reception of 4 hours, the minimum spend requirement would be £5,000+15% service charge.

Venue hire and package prices will increase for 2024 and 2025.
