About this space
In the 1800s The Old Joint Stock was a bank; this space was the original managers office. Today, the Managers Office offers an intimate dining space located on ground floor, near the main bar. It is available for: meetings, buffet, corporate events and sit-down meals - accommodating up to 30 guests standing or 18 guests seated.
To use the space exclusively comes with a minimum spend (time and date dependent) - we do not charge a room hire fee. All food and drink on the day and anything pre-ordered contributes to the amount.

The service team and especially the service manager, that was aligning everything with me was really helpful and supportive. Everything was like requested and he also offered suggestions how to organize everything. Also the food was perfect :)

The room itself is very nice and the space is great for the team we had. The food we had was tasty and the hot pastries went down very well. The tea selection was excellent.
We could connect to the TV easily enough, but I would recommend the pub get a universal remote for the TV because the menu button is not easy to use.
We ordered filter tea/coffee for 16 people and we were charged £40 per coffee refill - it wasn't clear we would be charged again for the refill on the day as I thought the package size would have covered this as I didn't feel the coffee pot was particularly large in the first place. I believe it would be useful to outline this for future users.
When the pub opens (around 12pm) whilst is isn't 'loud' it is distracting enough, especially when backed onto the smoking area outside. It was largely fine and didn't disrupt our day, but worth indicating to future users of the space.

Pleasant communication
Wonderful room, good food and a cosy atmosphere adds to a good team day. Hot pastries were fantastic.
It becomes a little more challenging once the pub opens at middayish, but it won't completely derail your event as it rarely grows above a 'hubbub' level.
I would advise getting clarity on what is, and isn't chargeable on the day as the package descriptions on coffee/tea aren't detailed.
