Established in 1891, Moonee Ponds Bowling Club is situated in the picturesque Queens Park.
As a result of regular flooding of Mr C.S Feehan’s private racetrack, (now known as Moonee Valley Racing Club), the Council excavated what was formerly a swamp area to form a large lake in Queens Park, with excess soil used to create bowling greens – and thus the Moonee Ponds Bowling Club was established.
Today the Moonee Ponds Bowling Club is proudly known for having some of the best bowling greens in Victoria and prides itself on providing a great family environment to around 150 social and bowling members.
“The Ponds” is also the perfect venue for your special event offering a range of function rooms – including our newly refurbished bar, outdoor deck & BBQ facilities
