Studio A at Salt Studios
About this space
Studio A features include natural light and clear sightlines into the control room, as well as a large-screen video monitor for sync to film voiceover sessions. The studio spaces can comfortably accommodate up to a six-piece band for tracking sessions and are often used by video production professionals as a film shoot location.
Our Studio A control room houses the finest vintage and modern recording equipment available and is a comfortable and inspirational environment for both the musician and engineer.
At the heart of the control room is a 40-input Amek Hendrix analog recording/mixing console featuring Amek's famous "classic British" pre-amps and EQ designed by Rupert Neve. Other equipment includes a range of high-end outboards, pre-amps, and compressors as well as an HD ProTools system using Aurora Lynx converters. Event Opals and a pair of NS10s provide accurate monitoring for mixing.

The process of producing a finished product is divided into four parts, these being; recording, editing, mixing, and mastering. These are all included in the hire of the Studio. However, there needs to be time allowed for these processes to fit into your session. Whether or not, these processes can be done during your session depends on the instrumentation, number of songs, desired quality, and proficiency of the musicians/artists.
