We host various types of events. The maximum capacity of the Entire Venue is up to 99 people. We rent the Entire Space for events with a minimum capacity of 65 people. Contact us for more details.

About Kibbitznest Books, Brews & Blarney
We are a third place- the first is home, the second is work.
Here, the community is welcome to engage and share, face-to-face. We believe in giving back. That is why we support the mission of our partner & 501 (c)3 non-profit, kibbitznest, Inc. to preserve the quality of human interaction by promoting a balance between face-to-face and electronic communication media.
In that spirit, we are a Wifi-FREE Zone! — providing the community with a “Third Place” where creative, sensitive, and intellectual discourse is practiced. As a bookstore, our patrons are surrounded by liberal arts books, used and new. We are a place where the theoretical concepts explored at kibbitznest can come alive in practice, much like the intellectually stimulating literary salons of days past.
As a book bar, we encourage the use of our comfy chairs and couches as well as communal tables where patrons can socialize while enjoying a glass of wine, one of our 25 signature craft cocktails, Irish coffee, one of our 35 craft beers, and much, much, more. We also have a little nosh such as chips and salsa, hummus plate, salumi plate, Chicago-style JUMBO hot dogs, imported cheese, fresh fruit, and toasted bread, Homer's Gourmet Ice Cream, and more.
As a wifi-free zone, we ask that laptop computers remain in their carrying cases 90% of the time. Cell phones are used to take lots of pictures of the fun you are having with the games you are playing and to text everyone you know to come on over! ... then put it away for a while and enjoy your surroundings and/or the company of your fellow humans. Kibbitznest is not anti-tech, just LOW tech ... that's all. When you leave, knock yourself out posting the fantastic pictures you took at kibbitznest!
We have tons of board games, card games, and more! Write letters or lyrics for your next big hit on our typewriters, play foosball, peruse the great books & gifts, and connect with other humans face to face!!
