Named after Billy Eckstine, a major voice of DC's Swing Era. The largest event space at Viceroy Washington DC, the Eckstine Ballroom is the perfect setting for wedding receptions, cocktail events, classroom-style lectures, and more.

We recently celebrated my wonderful husband Gus’s 50th birthday at the Viceroy, and I could not have chosen a better venue. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our event was seamless and memorable. I am especially grateful to the concierge team for their gracious handling of unexpected early deliveries from two vendors. I had not arranged for the hotel to receive these items, yet they stepped in without hesitation—this alone confirmed I had made the right choice in selecting the Viceroy. The suite was beautiful and spotless, and the cleaning staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. The food was absolutely outstanding. Our guests raved about the shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and what I’m convinced are the best Caesar and Harvest salads in Washington, DC. The bartender was phenomenal—despite our group of 42 keeping her busy all night, she remained warm, attentive, and unfailingly pleasant. A heartfelt thank you to Khris Mora, Event Manager, whose responsiveness and support made the planning process far less stressful, and to Alejandra Gallo, Sales Manager, who was the very first person I met during my search. After visiting eight venues, her graciousness and professionalism made my decision easy. The Viceroy made Gus’s milestone celebration truly unforgettable, and for that, I am deeply thankful. I highly recommend them for any special occasion.

The professionalism of the staff from the initial contact to the end of a fabulous event. Space was perfect for an afternoon tea party. Everyone loved the food, especially the bread. My organization already thinking about next year tea or brunch there.
