Space features
Sky Garden is a private outdoor space in Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown, an elevated planted terrace sitting above the hotel’s public areas and designed as a contained outdoor room.
Design: The terrace is contemporary and finished in stone-effect paving, low partitions and glass balustrades, with modular seating and clear sightlines across the adjoining multi-level atrium. The space benefits from abundant daylight and high surrounding ceilings that give it an airy, structured feel.
Features: A built-in PA system and venue Wi‑Fi support announcements and background music. The space receives natural light and connects to the hotel’s climate-controlled public areas. Accessible toilets and wheelchair access are provided.
Ideal for: Corporate teams and social groups seeking a relaxed standing reception or an informal seated gathering.
What sets it apart: A continuous vertical living wall runs along one side of the terrace and provides a natural screen and focal point.
What guests say: The hotel’s higher-floor public areas deliver attractive city and lake views. The public spaces are generally described as clean and spacious.
