PEN & INC Grand Hall is one-north's largest pillarless function hall at 420 pax — purpose-built for events hotel ballrooms in the area cannot deliver flexibly or affordably. Three minutes on foot from Buona Vista MRT (Circle + East-West Line), with direct access to the Fusionopolis, Mediapolis and JTC LaunchPad ecosystem.
THE ROOM
A curved 7m x 3m high-resolution LED stage wall anchors the hall — ideal for product reveals, brand video walls, live event feeds, and immersive wedding visuals. Backed by a pro PA system, wireless mics, full stage and ambient lighting, theatrical uplighting, and an in-room AV control booth. Fully carpeted, air-conditioned, and acoustically treated.

Our in-house non-halal kitchen delivers Chinese, Malay, Indian, Western and fusion menus — buffet, family-style, plated or cocktail. Halal catering is available via trusted outsourced partners, with the same menu flexibility and presentation quality. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options on request.
FULL-SERVICE EVENT MANAGEMENT
Single point of contact from enquiry to teardown. Our team handles run-of-show, AV, decor and floral, MC support, bridal holding room logistics, and ROM solemnisation. One coordinator, one invoice.

Event Space was nice, AV system was easy to use and well equipped.
Liaison person on their side changes after the venue is booked. Understandably, they may have different people doing different roles (e.g., sales, operations ,etc). However, Ops side hospitality seems to be less as compared to sales, as experienced during recce and actual event. Actual event only had 1 colour of table cloth offered, with reasons of "having multiple events, so all the other colours are used and in process of cleaning". On actual event day, my team was down at venue for set up at 2pm, for a 6.30pm event, ops guy mentioned that we can use the space (when i clearly communicated during the recce and also in email) Ops guy also wanted to charge us for Aircon usage for our set up.. When Sales guy mentioned there's no additional charge. Server missed out topping out desserts (cream puff) when the foodline has emptied. We found out there was still another full tray untouched, when servers were cleaning up. Overall experience, is slightly above average, but for the price, would have expected better service.

The food was above average. The variety and taste was good. We could taste-test our options, even options that we changed to, before finalising our menu for the day. Great first impression. Marketing/Sales person comes off very friendly whenever conversing, whether over a call or in-person and appears willing to make what you want happen. He appeared considerate about making my wedding dinner a success and a happy day for everyone. Good package deal for logistics and food. (But alcohol will be overpriced.) Sharm/Shum (the decoration IC) conversed with sensitivity and delivered well.
Accessibility. The ballroom is nestled within the NTU Alumni building. Never mind the walk there from whatever nearby train stations, but the venue ICs did not provide the signages that was promised (size, number, and locations were wrong). Guests had no idea where to go upon reaching the building. They only saw the electronic display for another wedding that was happening right beside mine. FYI, I was never informed that we could put a notice on the electronic notice board, or if I even needed to do anything for that to happen. The first impression turned out to be unreliable. Majority of the subsequent sales talk was below average. Responsiveness and quality of replies to messages was poor. I had to chase for materials like the floor plan, and eventually received an empty floor plan where I had to plan the layout myself, not knowing if I got the measurements right etc. Details could only be finalised in the final week. The execution on the actual day was very disappointing. The service staff was uncoordinated and had poor communication with guests. They promised table service for the VIP table but it was undelivered. By the time it was resolved, VIP table was the last one to get food. They tried to count the number of our guests and charge us extra for "additional guests that were unaccounted for". This happened near the end of the event. Guests were still present! We had to take attendance to prove that the number of guests was as projected. I am appalled at their insensitivity. I painstakingly drew the floorplan layout and went through it with them two days before my wedding and reminded them again the day before, only for them to arrange the reception tables and tables on stage wrongly... Their management of the event pointed towards their inexperience with Chinese weddings and/or frustration with a customer that ended up not bringing in the big bucks like they thought would. "We will make it happen" was an empty promise. If I could redo everything, I would not hold my wedding here.
