Great for celebratory parties and private receptions, Oxford Castle & Prison is the perfect venue if you are looking for something totally unique. Your guests can have drinks and canapés in the atmospheric crypt, mingle around the cells which were used by prisoners from 1795 until the prison’s closure in 1996, and explore our private exhibition space.

Host up to 100 people in our 950-year-old crypt, the 19th-century D-wing prison cells, and Debtor's Tower.
