1st Floor at The Elgin

About this space

Space for up to 80 seated or 100 people standing the private 1st floor room at The Elgin is beautiful space for corporate and private events alike. Previously we have hosted several wedding receptions, engagements and birthdays as well as AGMs, summer parties and 'Just because it’s Wednesday' parties.

The room has its own bar and a dedicated team to look after you on your night. It’s a beautiful exposed red brick room with a wooden floor and triple aspect arched windows. You can add to the décor with your own personal touch if wanted and there are facilities to hire in a DJ for your night too.

The room can also be hired during the day time for filming/photography (it’s all about Location, Location, Location) or as meeting space.

We’ve had lots of wonderful wedding receptions at The Elgin. The first floor room is full of character but has plenty of scope for you to add your own personal touch.
We’re pretty flexible, so if you have specific requirements or you want to bring in your own decorations and accessories, then just let us know.
There is no hire fee at The Elgin, instead, we operate on a minimum spend basis. Rates vary depending on the day of the week and how much of the venue you want to use. Let us know when you’re thinking of coming and what you want to do and we’ll come back to you with a quote.

We loved The Elgin for our wedding! Great staff, amazing food and amazing place in general. Both us and our guests loved it!

We loved having our wedding at the Elgin, the service, food and drinks were perfect!

The Elgin was our chosen wedding reception venue and we were delighted with our choice. Tut boasted the perfect layout for a wedding and provided a great space for our guests to mingle/celebrate. It wasn’t too large that people got lost or felt in included but had enough seating for those who wanted to join in at a bit more of a distance. It was nicely sectioned for a wedding celebration (downstairs for drinks reception and evening celebrations / upstairs for the meal) and overall, we just had the best time. The best part was that the food was amazing and everyone commented on how fantastic it was!

About The Elgin

Located at the top of Elgin Avenue just minutes from Paddington, the Elgin can be booked in whole or in part for groups from 20 – 200 for both private and corporate events.

A growing wedding reception venue the homeliness of the space is perfect for a family affair but if your event is all business the flexible feel of the bars lends itself easily to your requirements.

There’s a private bar on the 1st floor with space for 100 people or the whole venue can be opened up to your party if you need more space. As part of the Urban Leisure Group, The Elgin has an effortless cool about it where the service is friendly but relaxed and the food is just darned good!
