About this space
The Great Hall is a large hall complimented by two large foyer areas. It is a versatile space ideal for conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners and more. With a stage, green room and changing rooms and sound proofed it is also a great option for events with entertainment
The foyers can be used for registration, catering stations and exhibitors and the lower foyer includes 2 small meeting rooms ideal for for ad hoc meetings or for use an organiser office.
A large flat floored room, 475 squared metres, it can seat 720 people theatre style, 300 cabaret style and 378 classroom style for conferences and seated shows, with additional balcony seating for 92 delegates. For functions it can hold 800 for a standing reception, 500 for a dinner or 420 for a dinner dance.
It can be hired on its on or in conjunction with Small Hall.

• The hire fee includes use of data projector and PA system. The pa system is for speeches and background music, it is not suitable for
DJs/live entertainment - DJs and performers to bring their own stand alone PA system.
• If using more than 2 microphones an AV technician is required.

Host rules
• All set up and clear down is to take place during the hire times. The venue is to be fully vacated by the end of hire period and all items bought on site removed.
• Self-catering is not permitted. We work alongside several approved caterers. If our approved caterers are not able to meet your needs – for example dietary reasons – we will consider an external caterer coming on site – there is an application process and fees will be applicable if approved.
• No notice, sign, flag, bunting, banner, decoration, drapery, or other item shall be affixed to any part of the building or to the furniture or fittings therein by adhesive tape, adhesive label, Blu-tack or any other adhesive substance. Where such fixings are undertaken by the Hirer, any contractor or any hirer’s client, the Hirer will be responsible for the full cost of the repair. It is the duty of the Hirer to ensure that their contractors, clients and attendees fully adhere to this policy.
• No adhesive tapes may be used to mark wooden or carpeted floors.
• No decorations, flags, emblems, gas-filled balloons, streamers or confetti are permitted inside the Premises or externally.
• Naked flames, smoke making machines, indoor fireworks and stage pyrotechnics will not normally be permitted in the premises. Applications in writing to waive this regulation must be made to the Supervising Officer for consideration and hirers are advised that substantial additional staffing costs may be incurred if approval is granted.
• SIA security staff is required for religious festivals, cultural festivals, public events (ticketed and unticketed), concerts, Boxing, Kick Boxing, Wrestling, Martial Arts or any other fighting/combat tournament and any other event deemed by the Head of Conference and Events to required security staff. This list of events is not exclusive or exhaustive. The venue team will organise applicable security staff and the client will be liable for the fees.

Designed by architect Sir Basil Spence and opened in 1977, Kensington Conference and Events Centre is a highly adaptable, purpose-designed events venue with two Event Halls ideal for corporate events, exhibitions, award ceremonies and dinners as well as filming.
The Great Hall can accommodate up to 828 delegates for a conference. The Small Hall can seat up to 170 guests for a conference and is complimented by a foyer which can be used for registration and refreshments.
Both event halls are equipped with presentation facilities and pa system and there is complimentary WiFi.
The event halls can be hire together or individually. In addition to the event halls there are also some board rooms ideal for small meetings and the Council Chamber, a unique space often used for filming.
Located minutes from High Street Kensington Underground Station, with a public car park on the same site it is easily accessible to delegates.
