Poor communication
I chose this venue for Valentine’s Day as it matched my preferences in both cuisine and overall ambience. The communication leading up to the booking was efficient and reassuring, which made me confident about the evening. Unfortunately, the experience on the night itself did not meet expectations. While I understand that Valentine’s Day is a particularly busy occasion, the level of service fell short. My guests and I repeatedly had to ask for drinks, and service felt disorganised throughout the evening. The most disappointing aspect was the delay in serving the main courses, which did not arrive until approximately 11pm. The delay was so significant that some of my guests, who had already paid in advance for their meals, had to leave without being served. No refund was offered, and my concerns raised at the time were not properly addressed. Although the venue itself is attractive and the food had been pre-ordered, the overall handling of the evening was disappointing. I have since attempted to follow up but have not received a response. Given this experience, I would not consider booking again. It was particularly upsetting as the occasion was also my birthday, which unfortunately coincides with Valentine’s Day.
