Thank you for choosing The Woodins! A private hire of our upstairs bar is perfect for your event! This space is suitable for up 60 seated or 100 people standing, and comes with a fully serviced bar and private toilets. We have menus suitable for all occasions, and drinks bundles to match!

The function room was fantastic. Bar staff excellent, and the food was amazing, everyone had something good to say about how delicious it was. The manager Helen was brilliant, I can't thank her enough for a her help. She helped us decide on what food to buy. And how much we would need. She was so accommodating with allowing us to go early to set up. It was a fantastic night. Thank you yo the woodins shade team.
The music. It's the only thing I wish I had sorted out myself. It wasn't the best. I would recommend getting your own dj. But it was free, just not our kind of music. So we had it quite low. But at least everyone managed to have a chat. Which for most people that haven't seen each other in ages,it was a nice thing. But I really missed a dance.

About The Woodins Shades
For many years, the Woodin’s Shades has been a favourite meeting place for the traders of Petticoat Lane and Spitalfields Markets.
Petticoat Lane market is a historic Sunday street market, but in the Middle Ages, it was a tree-lined country road called Hog’s Lane, possibly because pigs were kept in nearby fields.
