Hired out the upstairs for a private party The staff were exceptional - very helpful. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Matt the manager was very helpful with the planning of my event. Fantastic feedback from all of my guests
The air con struggled a bit as it was an exceptionally hot day!

The function room was fantastic. Bar staff excellent, and the food was amazing, everyone had something good to say about how delicious it was. The manager Helen was brilliant, I can't thank her enough for a her help. She helped us decide on what food to buy. And how much we would need. She was so accommodating with allowing us to go early to set up. It was a fantastic night. Thank you yo the woodins shade team.
The music. It's the only thing I wish I had sorted out myself. It wasn't the best. I would recommend getting your own dj. But it was free, just not our kind of music. So we had it quite low. But at least everyone managed to have a chat. Which for most people that haven't seen each other in ages,it was a nice thing. But I really missed a dance.

I really wanted you book this venue for my 60th. They didn't confirm or deny the date, but advised to ask other pubs in the chain. But they are too far for us, i only wanted that venue.
