About this space
The live room is the largest of the three spaces and the most versatile. It is a full-band recording and performance environment with enough floor space for simultaneous multi-instrument capture and enough flexibility to be reconfigured for workshops, showcase events, masterclasses or intimate live performances.
The room is stocked with instruments across every category. Drummers have a full Yamaha acoustic kit with Remo heads and a range of cymbals. Guitarists can choose from seven acoustic guitars, including a Luna 12-string and a left-handed Lauren, plus a Squier Stratocaster and Squier P-Bass for electric. Keyboard players have two Yamaha digital pianos and a StudioLogic SL-990 Pro 88-key fully weighted hammer-action controller.
Amplification is extensive and spans multiple eras and tones: a Marshall 5005, Park by Marshall G25R, Peavey TNT 115 (160W bass combo), Peavey 50W all-valve combo, Laney Richter RB2 bass amp, and a Fender Rumble 15 for quieter applications.
Recording is handled via a three-interface MOTU rig: M4, Audio Express, and 2408 MkIII, enabling high channel-count simultaneous capture. The primary microphone is a Rode NT2000 large-diaphragm variable-pattern condenser.
The room is available for dry hire or with a session engineer. It has been used for full band tracking, documentary filming, live showcase events, music technology camps and youth education programmes. Minimum booking of two hours.

This is a professional creative space inside a building that is used for community support. Please read before your first session.
Respect the space and the people
Treat everyone with dignity. No harassment, bullying or discrimination of any kind.
No smoking, drugs or alcohol - The entire building is substance-free. Anyone found in breach will be asked to leave immediately.
Equipment:
Do not touch or operate equipment you have not been briefed on. All equipment is PAT-tested and must be treated with care. Any damage caused by misuse is the responsibility of the hirer. Please inform the studio before bringing your own kit.
No food or drink in the studio rooms:
Refreshments are welcome in the designated area outside the studio. Please use the bins provided and leave the space as you found it.
Confidentiality and creative ownership: Do not record or share without explicit permission. Complete split sheets for all collaborations.
Phones and filming
No filming, photography or live streaming without prior consent from everyone in the room.
Be on time and be present
Arrive on time. Sessions run to schedule. This is a professional environment — late arrivals affect everyone in the space.
Safety and access
Follow all safety instructions given on arrival. Commercial hirers are permitted to use the studio area and ground-floor toilet only. All visitors must be signed in by a staff member on arrival. Fire escape procedures will be shared on arrival.
Noise
Keep noise appropriate outside sessions, particularly on arrival and departure.
Consequences
Breaches of these rules may result in a verbal warning, removal from the session, or termination of the booking. No refunds will be issued for removal due to rule violations.
