Studio 1 is a large, flexible dance studio that can also shift into a small, intimate theatre setup when needed. It’s open and easy to work with, whether you’re rehearsing, teaching, or putting on a showing.
The space has a professional Le Mark dance floor, full-length mirrors, and high ceilings, giving dancers and performers the room and surface they need to work safely. It’s practical, well set up, and suited to a range of movement-based activities.
As a performance space, Studio 1 can be configured with audience seating to create a close, immersive theatre experience, perfect for sharings, scratch nights, showings, auditions and small-scale performances. The space is equipped with an overhead Bose sound system and adaptable lighting, allowing for flexible use across a wide range of creative and community activities.

To ensure a safe, welcoming and professional environment for everyone, we ask all hirers and visitors to follow these guidelines:
-Respect the space
-Please treat the studios, equipment and furnishings with care. Leave the space as you found it.
-Only clean, appropriate footwear is permitted in studio spaces. Outdoor shoes must not be worn on dance floors. No heels or footwear that may damage the floor.
-Food is not permitted in the studios. Water is allowed in sealed bottles only.
-Any furniture, desks or chairs used must be returned to their original layout before the end of your booking.
-Please arrive and vacate the studio within your booked time, allowing for set-up and clear-down.
-Be mindful of other studio users and neighbouring spaces. Excessive noise outside of studios should be avoided.
-Studio equipment (sound systems, TVs, lighting) may only be used as instructed. Any technical issues should be reported to staff immediately.
-Any damage or breakages must be reported as soon as possible. Hirers may be liable for repair or replacement costs.
-Do not exceed the maximum capacity of the studio. Emergency exits must be kept clear at all times.
-The Performance Studios cannot accept responsibility for lost or stolen items.
-Abusive, unsafe or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive and respectful environment for all.
-Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the booking being ended without refund and/or refusal of future hire.
