Host rules
- No smoking in the building
- Damage to the space will result in an extra charge
- Availability is conditional on the event not disrupting normal activities or potentially damaging the building or reputation, as deemed by the Events team.
- The Informatics Forum does not provide stationery items, secretarial support, photocopying, printing facilities, internet, open access computing, or technical services to external users. Audiovisual facilities may be demonstrated to users, but ongoing support is not provided. However, the Events Team reserves the right to determine what support can be offered on a case-by-case basis.
- All events must adhere to the Health and Safety guidance. This includes obtaining approved event risk assessments.
- Only approved contractors may provide catering within the Forum. Details are available from the Informatics’ Events Team.

The Informatics Forum at the University of Edinburgh is the perfect location for your next event. Our ground floor facilities – including a large conference room, a light-filled open atrium, and breakout areas – are suitable for conferences, workshops, and receptions.
The centrally-located building includes full AV technology, so it's an obvious choice for events, both big and small.
