About Djiyagiyulang-gal Enterprise Hub

Djiyagiyulang-gal Enterprise Hub is a Tagvenue Partner. This business has registered with Tagvenue and agreed to our venue partner standards.

Located in the heart of inner-Sydney, the Djiyagiyulang-gal Enterprise Hub is a landmark site of Aboriginal resilience, cultural activism and economic self-determination.

This iconic building was once home to the National Black Theatre, a powerful symbol of the Aboriginal rights movement in the 1970s and a creative force for change and self-representation. In 2025, the site was divested to the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce, returning the building to community leadership with a renewed purpose: to support Aboriginal businesses and enterprises for generations to come.

'Djiyagiyulang-gal' (pronounced did-gee-you-lung-gul) means ‘special place that involves important discussion’ is a Dharug word of the local Gadigal people. This name was chosen by Elders to honour Australia’s first Indigenous owned and operated enterprise hub.

The hub continues that legacy by creating opportunities for innovation, exchange, and self-determined growth.
