The room was a good size and quiet. I liked that we were given the room and left to run the day on our own
The corridors were dark/no lights were turned on for us, the toilets were all locked except one male toilet and we were always locked out of the building when we needed to leave, needing hotel guests to let us in. Also was a little misleading as the facilities say a projector/table/chairs but it’s an extra $400 for those items on top of the rate. There was also no reception in the room and we were only given 4 codes for wifi.

The Staff on site at Swanston were sweet and accomodating.
The process was mostly smooth, but some details in the post was misleading. On the hire page, it says that certain facilities are available with the venue, such as a projector. I needed to use a projector for my event and since there was no price listed to hire the projector and the manager I talked to as well said that there was a projector available to use, I paid for the venue. However, right after I paid for my venue, the manager contacted me saying that the projector was $100 to rent out. I would've have appreciated if this information was disclosed to me before I had booked the venue and before it became non-refundable. Greater transparency would be much more appreciated in the future. Thank you.
