About this space
A bright and airy creative space measuring 13m by 7m, with a ceiling height of 3m. Designed for optimal light control, featuring full blackout options that effectively eliminate outside light ensuring complete versatility in lighting conditions. Furthermore it has a matt black ceiling and a matt grey floor to eliminate light bounce.
The studio's design includes an additional track on the ceiling that allows for flexible lighting placement without compromising on floor space, facilitating effortless movement and setup with strategically placed power points on the ceiling for organized cable management, keeping the floorspace neat and functional.

General Rules for York Road Studio
Booking & Arrival:
Your booking time is when you are granted access to the studio. Please do not arrive earlier than 15 minutes before your
scheduled time. For example, if your booking starts at 8.30 AM, do not arrive before 8.15 AM. Our site representative arrives
at your booking time, not before. If you need extra time for setup, please book additional hours.
Guest Count Accuracy:
Ensure your guest count is accurate at the time of booking. If you request a booking for 5 people but arrive with 25,
additional fees may apply, and your booking may be subject to cancellation.
No Smoking Policy:
Smoking (including e-cigarettes, cigarettes and cannabis) and the use of recreational drugs is strictly prohibited inside the
building.
Cleaning & Space Condition:
The space must be left in the same condition as when you arrived. This includes:
• Taking out all your rubbish
• Returning props/furniture to their original places
• Keeping the space clean
Additional cleaning fees may apply for failure to comply.
Shooting Restrictions:
Shooting is strictly limited to inside the studio. No exterior or street shots are permitted as it is a residential area. If you
attempt to shoot outside, your booking will be immediately canceled without a refund.
No loitering by the entrance except for initial gear load-in.
Prohibited Items & Activities:
No real firearms or live weapons (prop guns are allowed but must be approved by our site rep).
No pyrotechnics or naked flames.
No fake blood, squibs, glitter, colour smoke bombs, or pillow feathers—violations will incur a £150 additional cleaning fee.
No pornography of any kind.
Rental & Overtime:
Your rental is billed hourly. To avoid overtime charges, all equipment, crew, and vehicles must vacate the premises by the
end of your booked time. Example: If your booking is 8.30 AM - 6 PM, you must be off the property by 6 PM. Exceeding your
time will result in an additional hourly charge.

About York Road Studio
York Road Studio is an ideal destination for creative professionals seeking a space for film and photography projects.
In addition to the extensive filming and photography facilities, we also accommodate workshops or seminars, with seating available for 70 participants. This makes York Road Studio not only a place for visual storytelling but also an excellent venue for skill-sharing and community building.
Surrounded by a diverse selection of restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops. Furthermore, being just a minute’s walk from the beach provides an opportunity for relaxation and inspiration.
York Road Studio is in the centre of Worthing and is fully self contained on the first floor of an old ‘Banana Ripening Warehouse’ on York Road.
The studio is on the first floor and unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. It is 13m X 7m and 3m high. A total coverage shooting space of 979 Sq Foot.
Bookings also have access to a kitchenette which has a fridge freezer, oven, nespresso machine and coffee, kettle and sink. There are also two gender neutral toilets.
The studio itself is fully daylight with 3 skylights and 2 opening windows but can be made fully blackout within minutes to control your lighting.
There are six different textured 'flats' available to hire that can be attached to the ceiling mounted track for ease of use moving around the space.
There is a wide range of kit available to hire including lighting, grip, monitors, haze machines etc.
This is a very quiet space in the centre of town.
