The venue itself is lovely and easily accessible. Tables and chairs being included is a plus as they have a good amount of them.
The process of booking was not easy. It started off well, I was able to get a viewing quickly. The first issue was that on tagvenue it states “We proudly offer discounted rates for charities and community organizations.” but upon viewing I was informed that this does not apply as I have enquired via tagvenue. If that’s the case the offer needs to be removed off of this platform. I run a community interest company and the discount would have been highly beneficial so please contact them directly for any bookings. Secondly, communication after this was pretty poor. I had to chase for a response. The numbers on the platform do not go through. I had to leave a message with reception of the building to get someone to contact me. Direct communication outside of this platform would have been very helpful. Thirdly, I was told that they have a speaker system that I could use on the day and that security would know how to set this up. When I got there security had no clue what to do. It’s not a straight forward sound system. I had to go back home (luckily I live within the area) and get a speaker to play music. As someone booking for the first time it was quite stressful. I would honestly like to use the venue again but only if there is better communication.
