Good communication from venue owners good size modern hall and large kitchen space - would use again
No baby changing facilities so we had to purchase a mat and create an area for our guests, for a new venue this is surprising. We had to ask for the hall to be cleaned asap as it was dirty on arrival - luckily we got there early but would have been stressful otherwise

The centre itself was perfect, and the event went amazingly thanks to the support of family. Overall, the centre itself is an excellent space, and I would still recommend it as it is a very good venue to use. That said, that recommendation would definitely come with caution and a forewarning of the struggles we had to deal with in both the communication process and the staff arrangement.
The only minor issue with the venue itself was that the shutter between the kitchen and the hall could not be opened, which would have made things a lot easier. However, my main concern is with the staff/security you had arranged. Mo mentioned that since we were paying over £100 for him to be there, we could ask him to assist us during the event. Unfortunately, his behaviour was unacceptable. He was rude, refused to follow instructions, sat around doing nothing, groaned or ignored us when we respectfully asked for help, and spent most of the time on his phone. On top of that, he tried to rush us to pack away despite us being clearly told we had half an hour for loading in and loading out. What makes this worse is that my sister has just told me that while she was packing up in the kitchen, he actually shooed her out and told her her time was up even though there was still 30 minutes left for loadout. Not only is that a complete contrast to the way he spoke to my brother and I, it is deeply disrespectful behaviour. On top of all this, he repeatedly attempted to sneak away food that was clearly meant for the guests, and even used his bare hands while doing so, despite all of the serving staff correctly wearing gloves. We would have happily given him food if he had either been helpful, or at the very least, asked politely. I understand the staff member was from an agency and not under your direct control, but the fact remains that his conduct was unacceptable. In light of this, I do expect the staff fee to be refunded in full. I should also mention that the Tagvenue website was extremely inconvenient to use throughout the booking process. None of the listed phone numbers worked, which made what should have been a straightforward hire process unnecessarily frustrating, particularly as it clearly states all communication should be kept on the Tagvenue website chat. I am sure the centre would attract many more bookings if there were an easier, more reliable way to communicate.

The space, price, main room were good, kitchen was also okay apart from no hot water.
Our concerns were: Toilets were dirty. Floors were wet. Kitchen facilities were near to zero The hot water and heating were switched off at one point , mainly in the kitchen. And a massive stench within the hallway area that wasn’t pleasant at all. Hoping something could be done about this. As disappointing as it was, we tried to overlook it.
