About this room

On the first floor of this Westminster venue is the most impressive and largest function space within the building.

The Great Hall is a conference room of over 370 square meters and over 13 meters in height is adorned with marbled columned walls, ornate gold leaf, and embellished plaster. An oak floor compliments a stunning painted ceiling and two large crystal chandeliers at either end of the event room. There are seven floor-to-ceiling windows along the West wall letting in a lot of natural daylight and allowing for passers-by to gaze up and marvel at the magnificent ceiling and chandeliers.

Located next to the Telford Theatre, the Great Hall can accommodate up to 260 people for a sit-down event or 400 for a stand-up reception. The room is the perfect setting for an awards lunch or dinner, product launch, a large meeting or conference or for an impeccable Wedding breakfast. The room is also near to the Smeaton, Council and Brunel rooms which are ideal spaces for a pre-event reception or meeting.

One Great George Street is a central London conference center, event and wedding venue in Westminster. Set in a magnificent Grade II listed, four-domed, Edwardian building the conference center is very close to the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and St James’s Park.

All the 21 function rooms offer flexible space for a range of events. The venue is able to host a maximum of up to 400 guests for a reception or 240 for an event in one of our individual meeting spaces.

You can also hire the building for exclusive use. The event spaces can be linked with sound and vision to connect delegates around the building attending the same event. Therefore increasing the normal 400 capacity in an innovative way.
