The landscaped Wedding Garden with its beautiful marquee is a stunning place for an outdoor wedding ceremony and celebration. Alternatively, your wedding ceremony can take place in the woodland; however, this space is not licensed.

Indoor ceremonies are held in the oak-panelled Drawing Room or The Foundry, which later transforms into a party barn with a sprung oak dance floor for your evening reception.

You can enjoy a drinks reception in The Chitting Shed, with its bar area and spacious terrace overlooking the garden. It gives you the space to chat with your guests and play some lawn games if you wish.

The bright and airy Grain Store boasts an open fireplace and mezzanine gallery and makes an ideal room for your wedding breakfast, offering to seat up to 150 guests.

You’ll also have access to the Dressing Room, where you can get ready before the ceremony.

And after the day concludes, you can retire to the Honeymoon Lodge, while 14 of your guests can sleep in the elegantly restored farmhouse.

Houchins is located 1 mile from Coggeshall, Essex, between Colchester and Braintree. This well-kept historic village boasts nearly 300 listed buildings.

Houchins can be easily accessed from the A120, which links the town to the major A12 road. The nearest railway station is Marks Tey (7 minutes by car). London Stansted Airport is a 30-minute drive away.
