About this space

The First Floor at Bustle Studios in Sydney offers a versatile workspace designed to inspire creativity and productivity. The First Floor provides an ideal setting for various events, including team strategy days, workshops, meetings and photoshoots.

Please note, we’re located in an old heritage building with a ‘faded vintage glamour’ kind of vibe. Our floors are uneven, the roof leaks during storms, we’re perfectly imperfect. If you’re after a creative space that’s inspiring, and definitely not corporate, then we’d love to have you.

WE DO NOT ALLOW ANY LARGE EVENTS LIKE BIRTHDAYS, ENGAGEMENT OR WEDDING PARTIES.(only intimate dinner groups or cocktail style drinks)

To keep costs low, we are now predominantly Self-service. If this is not suitable for you we offer full service for an extra $150 per day or evening session. After hours special rates apply from 5.30pm-10pm Sun to Thur only, self service and special conditions apply, please contact us for details. Cleaning fee and bond may apply.

The First Floor Hire includes exclusive use of The Living Room & The Balcony Room and The Garden Room and shared use of the kitchen and outdoor rooftop.

The Living Room comes with tables and chairs, 55” TV screen with HDMI cable to plug your laptop in, 5G broadband, HD 1080p webcam with wide 90° field, large whiteboard and air-con.

The Balcony Room has a table to layout catering, or for an extra 4 pax workshop style, private bathroom, couch break out space and small smokers balcony.

The Garden Room comes with tables and chairs, TV with HDMI cable to plug your laptop in, webcam, 5G broadband, whiteboard and air-con.

Host rules

No parties, external speakers or DJ's and no candles. Smoking only allowed on the balcony which is off The Balcony Room.

A cleaning fee applies for events that BYO food and drinks and a refundable bond may also apply.

Self service:

No staff on-site, contact-free self service.

We will give you the code to get in the front door and how to find your room.

Full instructions with wifi and bluetooth speaker passwords etc will be provided after full payment.

Help yourself to tea/coffee and chilled water from the shared kitchen. Please put all used water glasses and mugs in the dishwasher before you leave.

Glassware, crockery and cutlery hire available for up to 20 pax - $129 including washing up.

You are welcome to move the tables and use the extra chairs available. Please return the furniture to the original position before you leave.

Please place all rubbish in the rubbish bins, turn off the lights and close the front door when you leave.

Full service - $150 extra:

A fully staff member will meet you at the studio at a time convenient for you and return after you leave, to tidy up. Please note, they will not be on-site throughout the whole session. If you need on-site support throughout the entire session please contact us for a quote.

They will let you into the studio and set-up the room in your desired configuration including chilled water and glasses on the table.

Assist you to connect to the wifi, TV and air-con.

The staff member will also tidy up the room and kitchen after you leave, including washing up dishes and placing rubbish in the rubbish bins.

Amazing venue! Perfect location, everything you could need for a function, and Laura was fantastic to deal with. A Plated Affair catering was recommended by Laura and was also incredible, my hens murder mystery party went off without a hitch ☺️

Great location, near Central, very easy to get to. Facility was ideal for our workshops, with multiple spaces and rooms to work all together as well as to break out. Laura and her team (we took the full service option) are friendly and have been really good to work with, making our experience refreshingly easy and straight-forward.
Nothing, we'll use Bustle Studios again for sure.

Well stocked, clean, lots of space. Team are easy and friendly to deal with. The space has a lot of natural light, is set up well for presentations using the TV as well as more hands on activities and looks good.
Not a negative exactly, but no matter how well you explain to people how to get in they'll get confused. Make use of the chalkboard signs provided to help minmise this.
