About this space
The Terrace at our venue offers convenient access via Circular Quay West, featuring an inviting stairwell entrance. This expansive space is equipped with a retractable roof, providing flexibility for various weather conditions. For a more comprehensive experience, The Terrace can be seamlessly connected with the Conservatory, which boasts a fully stocked bar.
Considering the maximum capacity of the entire terrace is 110 guests, we recommend booking both the Conservatory and Terrace for larger groups. Not only does this ensure ample space for your guests, but the Conservatory's dedicated bar facility enhances the overall experience for events of significant size.

No smoking in the building. No external catering permitted.
Under 18s: we must be notified in advance - this will be assessed on a case by case basis.
No refunds for cancellations five days or less before your Function.
Payment due 7 business days before the Function.

About The Rawson
Housed in the iconic Rawson Institute for Seamen Building at 100 George St in the Rocks, The Rawson is a multi-level venue housing a restaurant, terrace overlooking the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Bar & Private Function Spaces.
With eight metre ceilings, large arched windows and floorboards throughout, the unique Grand Bar & Chapel can hold up to 300 guests (stand up) or p to 1209 guests sit down, for a Private Function. Mirar Bar on the top floor has a dancefloor & bar with two smaller breakout spaces & is perfect for up to 190 guests for an exclusive stand-up Function.
The Terrace, Conservatory & Restaurant can be joined for Functions of up to 200 guests.
For 21st Birthdays, these will be approved on a case by case basis, subject to a site inspection by the guest before confirming the booking. For 21st Birthdays, one security guard per 50 guests or part thereof is required at a cost of $300 per guard (pre-payable 7 days in advance). A Bond of $500 is also required to be pre-paid in case of any damage. This is refundable subject to a site check within 7 days post-Function. No minors permitted onsite after 9PM.
PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HOST 18th-20th Birthdays or School Formals.
