Former Hay Loft of the iconic Carlton Brewery in the heart of Chippendale. The Dale Loft is a rustic, Brooklyn inspired warehouse space available to hire in the heart of Sydney.

The large north-facing barn doors give you floor to ceiling light flooding the Loft at almost all hours of the day.
The interiors at The Dale Loft is specifically designed to enhance the rustic nature of the nearly 100 year old space. Leaning into the rich creative history of the building, and adding a vintage modern flare, the Day Loft is a perfect space for your next editorial shoot.

Cancellation policy

Flexible with Grace Period

Cancellations within 24 hours after booking confirmation will receive a full refund. This excludes events starting within 48 hours.

Cancellations 7 days in advance will receive a full refund.

Cancellations 7 days to 24 hours in advance will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations for events starting within 24 hours are non-refundable.

Event date of a confirmed booking can be changed to another date within 1 months from the original date, at no cost.

We understand how stressful it can be trying to cram a full day shoot and bump-in/bump-out time into a 8 hour block.
Which is why we’re happy to offer an additional 2 hours to help you get set up or packed up, FREE of charge!

Minimum Half-day hire (4 hours).

Loading Zone available for Drop Off / Pick Up.

About The Dale

Located in the Iconic Chippendale creative Precinct, The Dale Studios is a large (6m x 6m) photographic cyclorama, photo and film studio located on Wellington st Chippendale, just a stones throw from Central One, Central Railway Station and Railway square, just look for the bright teal door.

We are a locally owned, independent studio with a wide range of flexible options, the Studio is perfect for Fashion Editorials, Portrait photography, Ecomm photography and way more!
There is also a beautifully bright and open desk area upstairs, The 'Dale Desks, available for short & long term residencies.

We are committed to keeping the rich photographic cultural heritage of Chippendale alive.
Our aim is to take the historically creative inner-city suburb of Chippendale, and in particular, the Iconic Brewery Haylofts, and integrate it into the modern urban growth that is changing the suburb… all without loosing it’s rustic edge.

It’s a homage to the past, with an eye on the future.
