The Gables is an easy, no-nonsense venue on Kershaw Street in Shaw. It’s a straightforward place that people use for weddings, family events and gatherings where they just want things to run smoothly. If someone needs wheelchair access, we use a portable ramp at the front, and once you’re inside the ground floor is all level. We don’t host 18th, 21st or kids’ parties, but anyone is welcome to come in and look around before booking. There’s a car park on site, and if that fills up, people usually use the public one on Rochdale Road. Most couples who book their wedding here like that everything is in one building - the room for the meal, the space for the evening, and the bar all in the same place.
