We had our wedding reception here last week and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They answered all my questions, organised pre-paid drinks for guests, and put them out for us. The buffet food was great, with guests particularly loving the beef burgers and fried fish. They were also happy to accommodate a soft drink tab, which was really helpful for our pregnant guests. They were very honest too, refunding us the unused part of our bar tab and leaving us the bottles of wine we’d pre-paid for that weren’t drunk. When everything was over, they gathered all our decorations neatly onto one table, making it so easy to pack up the next morning (particularly helpful when you’re hungover!). We’re over the moon with our choice to have our wedding reception here and would highly recommend it. Oh! The toilets were nice & clean as well, which was something we didn’t experience at other pub venues we looked at.
Nothing major, but it’s worth noting that we weren’t able to set up the night before. As long as you have a few people to help, it’s not a big deal. We had to set up on the morning of the wedding at 11am when the pub opened.

What a brilliant venue. We hired the Nightingale Room for a buffet lunch, company presentations and a secret Santa for 50 people. It was the perfect size. The Christmas buffet food was unbelievable. I'm still dreaming about the steak and ale pies!
