Over ninety-five years ago, it was first built as Garibaldi Hall, and over the ages, it has changed several of its functions. In the 1960s, it became the On Broadway Theatre: a daring stage for avant-garde plays and cultural movements. By the late ’70s, it had morphed into The Mabuhay Gardens; The Fab Mab, of course, was simply the heartbeat of San Francisco's punk and new wave scene, having witnessed The Ramones, Blondie, Iggy Pop, and the Dead Kennedys making history.
