Studio Eight08 is a 5,000+ square foot creative event venue located inside Houston's historic Esperson Building, the city's first skyscraper, in the heart of downtown. The space blends industrial character with gallery-level sophistication: soaring ceilings, polished concrete floors, white gallery walls with rotating works by local and contemporary artists, and a track lighting system that gives you full control over the atmosphere from the moment guests walk in.
The floor plan is genuinely modular. There is no fixed configuration you are working around. Depending on what your event calls for, the space can be set as a long banquet dinner, a cocktail reception with lounge zones, a theater-style presentation, a branded activation, or a mix of all of the above. The room has hosted art exhibitions, birthday celebrations, brand launches, fashion shows, wedding receptions, graduation parties, corporate dinners, film screenings, and live performances, and it holds every format well.
On the amenities side, the venue includes a full-service bar with on-site bar staff, a professional DJ booth, a complete AV and sound system, a catering prep kitchen for outside caterers, and ADA-accessible restrooms. Our on-site team is here to support your event from inquiry through execution.

Host rules
General Conduct
* Respect the space, staff, and artwork. Damages are the renter’s responsibility.
* No smoking or vaping indoors.
* No outside food or drinks without prior approval.
Insurance
* Proof of event insurance is required at least one week prior. Must cover damages to the venue, artwork, AV equipment, and bar.
AV Equipment
* Only approved personnel may operate equipment.
* Renter is liable for damages.
* Sound levels must comply with local noise ordinances.
Bar Service
* Licensed bartenders only. No outside alcohol without approval; corkage fees apply.
* Alcohol served to guests 21+ with valid ID. Renter is responsible for guest conduct.
Artwork and Decor
* Do not touch, move, or hang items on artwork or walls without approval.
* No nails, screws, staples, or adhesives. Tape must be fully removed.
Capacity and Timing
* Follow capacity limits. Events must end on time. Overtime is billed.
Set-Up and Clean-Up
* Renter handles all set-up and breakdown.
* Space must be left clean and vacated by the end of the booking.
* All equipment and items brought in must be removed within booking time.
Security
* Required for events with alcohol or over 50 guests, for an additional fee.
Cancellation
* Cancellations within 30 days forfeit the deposit.
Photography and Filming
* No professional photography or filming without prior approval.
* No flash near artwork.
Cancellation policy: Standard 30 day with Grace Period
