The Garden Room opens out onto our Walled Garden and adjoins The Ivory Suite. And this light and airy room accommodate up to 30 guests at one table or up to 40 guests on individual tables for lunch or dinner.

This room lends itself perfectly to civil wedding ceremonies. In addition, for smaller weddings, it is quickly turned around to become a fantastic wedding breakfast venue.

Our garden which faces an amazing Wells Cathedral what provides a unique opportunity with Wells Cathedral as a breathtaking backdrop for wedding photographs.

Searching for civil wedding venues? Our Garden Room provides a stunning setting. For example, this bright and airy room can accommodate up to 90 guests for a ceremony. However smaller parties are also welcome. Glass doors open out onto a secluded walled garden. In other words an ideal spot for a celebratory drinks reception afterwards.

About Swan Hotel Wells

Parts of the hotel date back to at least 1422. However, over the years, the hotel has been sympathetically refurbished and extended. Now, it offers modern amenities in a beautiful setting. In other words, the Swan Hotel is one of the best Somerset hotels.

Dating back to Roman times, the beautiful city of Wells gets its name from natural springs. For example, these can be found in the beautiful gardens of the Bishop’s Palace. Because we are located in the heart of the county, Wells makes the perfect base from which to explore.

Wells lies on the Mendip Hills. And these ancient ranges of hills is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Similarly, they are recognized as one of England’s most attractive landscapes. Also, they overlook the Somerset Levels.
