About this space
Bracken Tor House offers exclusive use of its two lovely buildings with welcoming reception areas and cosy accommodation, as well as the surrounding outdoor areas. The Arts & Crafts style main house dates back to 1908 and boasts beautiful oak panelling and leaded windows. Embellished with local granite, Bracken Tor Lodge was formerly a pumphouse and has been recently converted. The gardens surrounded by the woods and open moorland provide spots ideal for camping, campfires and BBQs.
Ceremonies can be held in two licensed areas. The most popular one is the pagoda placed in the gorgeous gardens, with outdoor seating for 100 and temporary shelter available in case of bad weather. The other option is to have the ceremony in the new function room, where you can also host your reception.

Please note you will need to book the Registrar for the wedding, hence there will be additional costs for the Registrar paid directly to Devon County Council.

Upon confirmation of your booking, we will require a non-refundable deposit of £200 for exclusive use weddings. We will then require 25% of the estimated total cost of your wedding six months prior to the date and the balance of the estimated costs of eight weeks prior to arrival. Any outstanding balance must be settled on departure.

Bracken Tor House is located one mile from Okehampton and can be easily accessed from the A30 Okehampton Bypass. There are also bus services to Okehampton from Exeter, Bude, Newquay and Tavistock. Nearby attractions include the ruins of Okehampton Castle with walking paths and picnic spots and the Dartmoor National Park.
