Rules of the space

Host rules

1. Age Requirement– Hirer must be 25 or older.
2. Supervision – Hirer is responsible for supervision, care, and safety of the hall and its users.
3. Permitted Use – Only activities stated in the hiring agreement are allowed; sub-letting is prohibited.
4. Legal Compliance – No unlawful activities, including gaming, betting, or unlicensed alcohol sales.
5. Licensing – Ensure necessary licenses for music, performances, and regulated activities.
6. Public Safety – Follow local authority and fire regulations; emergency exits must remain clear.
7. Fire Precautions – Fire hazards must be avoided; fire brigade must be contacted in case of fire.
8. Food Safety – Follow food hygiene laws; refrigerator use must comply with hall regulations.
9. Electrical Safety – Any appliances brought in must be safe and properly used.
10. Working at Height – Use scaffolding and ladders safely and with permission.
11. Insurance – Hirers may be liable for damages and must have appropriate insurance if required.
12. Accident Reporting – Injuries and equipment failures must be reported.
13. Prohibited Items – No explosives, flammable decorations, or unsafe stage props.
14. Heating Restrictions– No unapproved heating devices, including LPG heaters.
15. Behaviour – No drunken, violent, or disorderly conduct; illegal drugs are prohibited.
16. Animals – Only assistance dogs allowed, except by separate agreement.
17. Fair Trade – Goods sold must comply with fair trading laws.
18. Cancellation – The hall may cancel bookings under specific circumstances.
19. Noise Control - be respectful of neighbours.
