About this space

Originally serving as a cotton warehouse during the industrial revolution, this storied Grade II-listed building exudes the character and history for which Manchester is famed.

The Portland Room is one of our most popular and spacious rooms, featuring natural daylight and air-conditioning. It is equipped with a 75" 4K Smart TV, with a projector and screen available upon request. Complimentary Wi-Fi and essential meeting amenities are provided as standard.

Perfect for corporate meeting - great central location. Projector (with HDMI cables) and flipchart provided, great service. Would highly recommend
We paid extra for coffee/tea but it's just a coffee machine outside accessible to anyone (whether you've paid or not)

Great location, the room was plenty big enough & we were able to use the space just outside the room as a breakout space too. Lovely pastries & coffee machine, good choice of tea too! Staff were all brilliant & super friendly.
We had the room booked from 8am, but we had to wait for 10 minutes to set up as the door to the conference space was locked. We also had to request an HDMI cable to be able to use the OHP, as our laptops are not fitted with scart sockets - it would be useful to have HDMIs in the room as standard as Im not sure anyone uses scart any more :)
